I have a calm approach to horses and can work with horses of all types — including those with a history of difficult hoof care experiences.
I graduated from Dan Guerrera's School of Barehoof Strategy in Norway in 2012.
My approach is built on patience, calm, and respect. Even horses with fear or behavioural issues around hoof care can be brought to a relaxed, cooperative state — often surprising their owners with how well they respond.
I serve clients throughout Berkshire and Surrey, aiming to cover most of the South East. Whether your horse is already barefoot or you're considering making the transition from shod, I'd love to help.

Patient, force-free handling for all horses
Each hoof treated uniquely — never a one-size approach
Berkshire, Surrey & wider South East
The Barehoof Strategy is a gentle philosophy — the best trim is mostly about preserving the right structure, not aggressively removing material.
Following Dan Guerrera's Barehoof Strategy, I take the minimal, targeted approach — keeping the hoof in natural balance and free from disease rather than over-trimming.
I believe every horse deserves a positive hoof care experience. By giving each horse the time it needs, I prove that a trim can be done without force or stress — no matter their history.
I walk you through what I'm doing and why, offering recommendations along the way. Understanding your horse's hooves helps you make the best decisions for their long-term health.

Contact for pricingHoof care isn't just for horses! I work with donkeys and goats too, applying the same gentle, patient approach to keep their hooves healthy and well balanced.
Contact for pricingNot sure where to start? I offer expert advice on all aspects of hoof care — whether you're transitioning from shod to barefoot, dealing with a specific hoof condition, or simply want guidance on the best approach for your animal.
Contact for pricingHorses that are foot-shy, have a history of difficult farrier visits, or simply lack confidence around hoof handling can be helped. Using a calm, pressure-and-release approach I'll work through the issue systematically — so that picking up and holding each foot becomes second nature, not a battle.

A glimpse of the horses I've had the pleasure of working with — each one a unique individual, each hoof a story.
"Incredibly pleased with Camilla's trimming on my horses! Camilla is thorough and skilled and she gives the time it takes for the horse. She talks me through what she is doing when trimming, and gives recommendations if needed. She has a special calmness and patience that makes her cooperate well with the horses. She seems particularly interested in what she is doing, as well as being professionally competent."
"Until now there was hardly anyone who would trim my gelding's feet, because he was kicking and very afraid of the farrier. But Camilla's calm approach has helped my horse become confident and relaxed — he can now be trimmed without problems."
"Camilla is reliable, accurate, calm and efficient! She has trimmed my horses for two years and they have got healthy strong hooves. I highly recommend her!!"
"Camilla did a great job with my 2-year-old warmblood with white line disease! She is a skilled and experienced trimmer that will spend time with each individual horse to get the best result. I would absolutely recommend Camilla to anyone that wants a reliable trimmer with good knowledge and passion for their job!"
"Camilla always has an answer to everything I ask when it comes to hooves, and my pony Freddy's hooves are very well looked after. I am very happy and will never use any other barefoot trimmer!"
